Why this matters
An editable local zone is not proof that the domain uses this server as authoritative DNS.
Step by step
- Identify the domain’s authoritative DNS provider before making a local zone edit.
- If DNS is managed elsewhere, coordinate changes there; ask support when panel and public DNS information disagree.
- Check the intended authoritative record and real service behaviour rather than only the saved panel value.
Keep the result of the final check and any unresolved question with your project records.
Availability depends on the product, permissions and management agreement. Use the existing support conversation for the same issue.
